Catching up

Well, birthday season has come and gone. I am no longer the mom of a toddler and a preschooler. I am now the mom of a full fledged KINDERGARDNER and a two year old who thinks he's 13. I'll have pictures from Ethan's party up soon.

So here is today's story. Sunday was when we had Ethan's official party (after church). As he's walking up to the church doors, he sees his reflection, looks at his dad with a puzzled expression and says wisely "I don't think I LOOK 5, really." Poor kid - he honestly thought there was some sort of transformation on your birthday. I didn't have the heart to explain to him that he had been five for an entire week already....

Hosanna!

He is risen! He is risen, indeed!

Happy Resurrection Sunday! The work is complete. REJOICE!

The Police

We got tickets! No, not "you've been a bad girl" kinda tickets. More like "Happy Anniversary - you're gonna see one of your favorite bands in concert" kind of tickets! YIPEEEEEEEEEEE....

Shhh...don't tell granny they're a rock and roll band! :)

I did feel old when I saw the concert advertisment - I remember 3 young, blonde, mop headed rockin' Brits - but the poster had 3 balding or graying gentlemen with time etched on their faces. Surely I still look like I did in high school, right? :)

Chocolate, Stawberry, or vanilla?

Those are your ONLY choices. Which do you pick?

I'm a vanilla gal - you can add vanilla to anything or add anything to vanilla to make it what you want. Some people see "plain" when they see vanilla ice cream...I see "possibilities"!

Leave it to me to be thinking about ice cream when the temp outside is 25 degrees. :)

Noah's Birthday

Noah turned the big 0-2 on March 15th, 2007. He's quite of fan of "melmo"...

You do NOT have to tell Noah what to do with a cupcake - it's instinct!
He also seems to have caught on to what a "present" is and what to do with it. Now every time a package comes in the mail he starts jumping and dancing and saying "yeah, wowah pesent!"
Here he is showing off the "fish" he "caught" - he loves this magnetic puzzle!
The next day, we all went to the Minnesota Children's Museum featuring a Bob the Builder exhibit. Ethan still loves Bob and Noah likes anything Ethan likes, so it was a win-win. It was difficult to get many pictures because they both kind of scattered!

On the way home, I was able to get Noah to mug a bit in the skyway. Isn't that just the cutest face you've ever seen? You'd never believe there is mischief behind those eyes! OK, well maybe in the second picture you would.
